Title: Willow Residence
Architect: Winder Gibson Architects [archsf.com]
Project Details: The clients found a diamond in the rough when they purchased this overgrown property. Removing the weeds and bushes that had taken over revealed a basketball hoop long forgotten. Modern Industrial lines and natural finishes offer an inviting setting throughout the basement and 2 floors above. Exposed steel and spline plated beams showcase the structural design of the home. The concrete floors, cedar and cement siding continue from outside to inside past large glass windows and doors making them almost disappear. Custom hanging Edison bulbs were staggered down the three story floating stair case. The client's enjoy sitting by the fire pit and watching the kids swim, glide on the Redwood tree zipline, and crawl through the backyard's underground tunnels incorporated into the landscaping.
